Measuring Cylinders

Our professional-grade graduated cylinders are essential for precision volumetric analysis. Designed for accuracy, durability, and ease of use, these instruments cater to the rigorous demands of laboratory research, industrial testing, and high-level educational applications.

Technical Specifications & Design

Durable Graduations

Our cylinders feature permanent scales that resist chemical wear. Glass variants use high-contrast ceramic enamel, while plastic models feature molded or silk-screened markings for long-term readability.

Enhanced Stability

Equipped with a wide, weighted hexagonal or circular base to ensure a low center of gravity, preventing accidental tips and minimizing hazardous laboratory spills.

Accuracy Classes

Class A / AS

The gold standard for accuracy. "AS" designates rapid delivery with high precision. These are individually calibrated and often accompanied by a certificate of traceability.

Class B

Designed for general laboratory use. These have a wider error tolerance than Class A and are suitable for routine measuring and classroom teaching.

Operating Best Practices

To achieve the most accurate volume readings, proper technique is vital. Follow these steps to eliminate Parallax Error:

  • Surface: Place the cylinder on a flat, vibration-free horizontal surface.
  • Alignment: Position your eyes directly level with the liquid's surface.
  • The Meniscus: For clear liquids, read the volume at the bottom of the curve (the meniscus) as shown in the diagram.
